Perks Empty Perks

Post by FilthyMcNasty4U Sun Dec 27, 2009 4:55 pm

heres something i came up with thought it might help a few of y,all out & myself

TIER ONE- the personal blues
These perks belong to you, and effect you, and you alone. They have no external effect on other players unless you make it so. They're also active perks, requiring you do actually DO something to make them work.

Marathon: You've got stuff to do and places to be! No time to catch your breath, so you equip marathon for unlimited sprint! Nothing can stop you now. Pro even allows you to vault over objects with a single bound, so not even a wall can stop you! But, keep in mind, you're now stuck with only 3 clips of ammo. Your reloading is kinda slow, and you only get one attachment.

Slight of Hand: Gotta reload! But it takes to long!! Slight of hand is for you. Never again will you be caught reloading as you swap out clips and magazines at the speed of light. Pro even allows you to aim down the sights faster, so those bulky LMGs will never hinder you ever again! However, you're still stick with those 3 clips of ammo. You can't run forever anymore, so you're better fit for close range combat.

Scavenger: 3 clips of ammo?! JUST THREE?! That's ridiculous! You need more, so you use scavenger. Grab an extra clip for your weapons by picking up blue bags from the dead. Never again will you see those annoying yellow words of "LOW AMMO". Hell, you can even pick up more ammo for guns you find on the field! Pro DOUBLES your starting ammo! Now we're talking! HOWEVER, all that ammo but you can't reload fast, nor can you run to the fray and use it like crazy.

BLING: that one attachment isn't proving its worth. Sure you need that grenade launcher, and that silencer is awesome, but these iron sights SUCK!! Not to worry with bling!! You cant stick TWO attachments on! Any two you want! With bling PRO, you can also stick two attachments onto your secondary! BUT, you must also trade off your right to more ammo, reloading fast, and running forever. What's more important?

ONE MAN ARMY: Versatility is the name, and that's also your game. Never again will you be trapped at the mercy of your starting class. Assault rifle no good? Swap it! Sniper not doing the job, SWAP IT!! LMG out of ammo, heck you can swap to the same class and REEQUIP your gear at any time! Unlimited grenades! HOWEVER, now you have no secondary. BUT, you can still swap to a class that does if you REALLY must.

TIER TWO: Passive Reds. These perks are the passive ones that effect everyone, including you. Pick the ones that fit best for you!

Stopping Power: That little pea shooter not doing the job? Equip stopping power and those peas become BULLETS of DOOM!! with stopping power, your weapons get a 40% damage increase! 40%!! That may not seem like a lot, but it turns any sniper into a one-shot-kill if you hit the center of mass. Pro increases your damage against vehicles, so you could actually shoot a harrier out of the sky with an LMG. AWESOME!! But keep in mind, that harrier will still shoot at YOU, and UAVs will spot ya,

Lightweight: You need a little more speed so lightweight is for you. A little boost in movement will give you the upper hand if your carrying a heavy weapon like an LMG, and if you have an SMG you can walk oddly fast, too! You could actually OUT-STRAFE enemies in a fire fight. And with pro, you can aim down the sights and start shooting without having to stop sprinting. Just pull the trigger, you'll stop intermediately to shoot! However, this speed boost comes at a price. You can't get extra damage, and kill streaks will still try to kick your butt.

Hardline: Killstreaks are SO hard to get, so you use hardline. Now, you can get that awesome prize with one less kill! With Pro, you can even make use of your death streak one death earlier! Fight da powah! LOW, you can't have any speed, or extra damage with this.

Cold Blooded: Those enemy kill streaks are being a REAL pain, so you use cold blooded. Now, UAV's will never find you, and choppers don't even know you exist! You're free to run outside without fear of that pave-low killing you. And with Pro, no red reticle or red name for the enemies. Find a spot to hide, and people will walk RIGHT past you. Perfect for the ambusher in you. HOWEVER, you can't have speed or damage, nor get your streaks early.

Danger Close: KABOOM!! You have things that explode, and you wanna blow some stuff up. With danger close, your grenades, rockets, C4, claymores, launchers, missiles, whatever, get a BOOST. Anyone caught in the minimum blast range is as good as dead this time. And with Pro, your killstreaks get a damage boost, too!! Those air strikes will get the job done RIGHT!! Yet, you can't make use of the OTHER would be perks!! Ya get me, yet?!

TIER THREE- The assisting yellows. These perks give you a situational upper hand, for close range combat, stealth, awareness, and fighting!

Commando: Stab, stab, stab! You've got a knife, and you wanna use it. With commando, your range for the blade is nearly doubled! Now, in close range, you can end the fight in an instant. With pro, you even get ZERO fall damage! Fell free to leap off tall buildings and get the drop on your opponent. However, you can't use other stuff!!

Steady aim: Who needs to use the sights?! Not you! With steady aim, your hip-fire accuracy is always in as tight of a spread as possible. Perfect for SMGs and shotguns at close range. And with PRO, you can hold your breath longer as a sniper! HOWEVER, you lose your knife range, so blast that trigger!

Scrambler: You wanna get close and personal, but those red dots on the radar keep giving you away! Not with scrambler! Now, anyone close by gets nothing but static, allowing you to kill without that pesky radar giving you away. Excellent for the attacker in all of us. But but but!! You can't hip-fire as well, or knife like a nut!!

Ninja: You need to stay unnoticed until it's time to strike, but that pesky Hear Beat Sensor keeps noticing you before you get to attack!! Not with Ninja! You'll never show up on the HBS, not even for your team mates! No fear of being found out until it's time to attack. Pro even makes your foot steps silent, so you can get the drop on your enemy. Yet, no more aiming (or breath holding), or knife range (knife blitz won't work).

Sit Rep: those darn claymores and C4 keep killing ya! Not to worry! With sit rep, no trap goes unseen. Claymores, C4, even grenades, glow red for your convenience. You can even see them through walls and smoke! Never be fooled again! And, with Pro, the sound of enemy foot steps greatly increases. You can hear them a mile away, so you'll be ready. It even negates the effect of ninja pro! However, you, yourself, can't be silent, or totally unnoticed.

Last Stand: Never again will you lose a head-on battle. If you get down first, you can still drag your enemy to hell. Pull out your pistol, and make your last stand! And with Pro, you still get access to your grenades, so you can blow up that fool if he tries to run. If you want, you can even use that grenade to kill yourself, and deny them the points! HOWEVER, you're still at the mercy of bombs, and anyone who gets your from behind. What's more important?

As you can see, the perks are all balanced!! Anything to disagree, please explain, and I'll do my best to counter that argument.

Marathon, Lightweight, Commando.

This here seems to be the big problem. However, the "headless chicken with a knife" can easily be countered by forcing them out into the open. They want speed for knifing, they sacrifice all their versatility because running around and knifing is all they can do. Want to counter them? Shoot them before they close the gap. No one ever gets killed by the "headless chicken with a knife" at long range. They rely on ambush, catching unsuspecting players who didn't see them coming. And lets face it, shot in the back or knifed in the back, it's still a lost battle. Just because YOU can't counter them does not mean that no one can.

Let's look at it another way. Enemy is sprinting at you. What do you do? Shoot him, right? He died!! You complain about the headless chicken because that seems to be the ONLY way you get knifed. But, again, if you're caught off guard you're STILL going to get killed.
